Introduction

Are you a college student with ADHD?  Are you stressed out?  Are you looking for a way to calm down?  Have you considered journaling?  Consider reading this article for some helpful tips to stop stressing out and calm down.

You Can Write Your Daily Schedule In Your Journal

The first top to include in your journal is your daily schedule.  You can start with one day at a time.  This may sound so simple.  However, it is so important.  Individuals with ADHD have difficult staying organized.  It is especially important to stay organized in college.  This way write down your daily schedule in your journal.  This way you will have a visual representation of your schedule and can look back at it whenever you need to for reference.

You Can Write What Feelings You Are Experiencing In Your Journal

In addition to writing your daily schedule in your journal, you can write what feelings you are experiencing in your journal.  You can write five feelings in your journal.  Each feeling can be in a separate paragraph.  In addition, you can write what thoughts and bodily sensations you are experiencing based on this feeling.  By exploring your feelings and connecting with your thoughts and bodily sensations you become better aware of yourself and develop a deeper awareness of yourself.

You Can Write How Your Day Went

In addition to writing your daily schedule and also writing what feelings you are experiencing in your journal, you can also write how your day went.  You can do this before bed time.  It enables you to reflect on your day.  This is like a reflection piece, like a typical journal exercise.  It is a free-write exercise.  It enables you to just write whatever you are feeling in the present moment and explore how your day went.  This will enable you to explore what happened during your day.  You do not have to change anything about your day but rather reflect on your day and what occurred during your day.  You can see this journaling exercise as a mindfulness exercise piece. Just live in the moment, and do not let your thoughts travel.

Conclusion

To end this article, three topics have been provided that can be considered a start for college students with ADHD to journal about.  You can write about: your daily schedule, how your day went, in addition to what feelings you are experiencing in your journal.
